The Benefits of Laughter

It has been said that “Laughter is the best medicine”. It’s important to spend time doing what you enjoy. Laughter is one of the highest vibrational levels possible. After all, it’s a literal shaking of the body with the cause being joy.

 

Laughter decreases stress, helps regulate hormones and increases immune cell response as well as T-cells, thus improving your resistance to illness. Reduction of stress hormones, in turn, help with anxiety which can impact your health negatively over time.

 

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins promotes an overall sense of well-being and can even relieve pain temporarily.

 

Laughter can also improve cardiac health and work your abs. , Though not a replacement for a workout, we can all use all the help we can get.

 

One option for adding some laughter into your world is a unique class offered by Monarch Wellness. Developed by Dr. Madan Kataria, Laughter Yoga & Mindful Relaxation combines Unconditional Laughter with Yogic Breathing technique (Pranayama) and is based on the scientific principal that the body uses laughter as a natural coping mechanism. This class is FREE, fun and easily adaptable to all levels.

 

Laughter strengthens the immune system. Past class participants have reported remarkable physical boosts such as reduced hypertension, asthma, allergies, and stiff muscles.
